Jacob Barsen assists across all practice areas at The Rodman Law Group including general business, cannabis, and cryptocurrency clients with matters such as contract drafting, case proceedings, and corporate formation processes.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Barsen worked in the cannabis industry, specializing in regulatory compliance and data analysis for cannabis clients on various licensing, zoning, marketing, and regulatory changes at federal, state, and local levels.
A Michigan native who moved to Colorado to attend law school at the University of Denver, Mr. Barsen graduated in 2021. While completing his JD, his key areas of interest were corporate, cannabis, and intellectual property law.
He additionally participated in the Student National Cannabis Bar Association, the Venture Law Society, and assisted the entrepreneurial program, Commons on Champa, by providing legal assistance to startups and entrepreneurs. Prior to law school, Mr. Barsen studied Political Science and History, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan.
Jacob is licensed to practice law in Colorado and has experience working with cannabis and hemp regulations around the country. Outside of the office, Jacob enjoys cooking new recipes, boxing, and hiking with his dog.
