Dan Sweet specializes in estate planning, asset protection trusts, business and investment planning, international structuring, equity grants, and business exit strategies—each with a particular eye for tax issues and tax liability mitigation.
Mr. Sweet’s passion is to fully understand the client’s personal, business, and tax objectives and to tailor solutions to meet those objectives in an efficient manner.
While attending law school at the University of Montana, Mr. Sweet participated in landlord-tenant mediation for the County of Missoula and, at the request of the Montana Supreme Court, conducted a study of the Court’s appellate mediation program. He also worked as a corporate pilot, flying throughout the Western United States in support of fire suppression activities.

Before actively practicing law full-time, he served as CFO of a major U.S. Forest Service aviation fire suppression contractor for two years and helped secure a multi-year contract with the U.S. Forest Service and facilitate a comprehensive upgrade of the company’s fleet of aircraft to a modern platform.
Mr. Sweet is an FAA licensed pilot and flight instructor with experience operating flight schools and authoring ground and flight syllabi. On a day off, you can find him in the air or on the golf course, preferably playing barefoot.
